Hermaphroditus: Mosaic Sexuality

Statuette of Hermaphrodite, 2nd century B.C. White marble h. Rhodes 2009-81. Princeton University Art Museum

This world is an Urban Fantasy story about children born with ambiguous genitalia, mosaic sexuality (Britannica 2020). They are children of the God, Hermaphroditus.

In Greek mythology, Hermaphroditus was the child of Hermes and Aphrodite, and had combined male and female characteristics. In the art of the Hellenistic and Roman periods, this intersexual deity is often depicted in explicitly erotic, and [ portrayed in] seductive poses, with exposed breasts and male genitals My Favourite Planet (2017)

The story will be an adventure where the children of the God save the day… or will they?

Mystical forces outside their control wait for them, always ready to steal them away. Will Sal, our female identifying protagonist, save them from the Adoptat’s and Doctorums before it’s too late?

Stay tuned, or pop by occasionally to embark upon Sal’s hero journey. She is the uncut, the prophesied Hermaphrodite’s created to save their children from the surgeons knife, and the murderous hands on the Doctorums and Adoptat’s.
